Local Treats

So I finally had time to visit the local farmer’s market this season (previously mentioned here) to pick up some home-made goodies and some essentials for brunch – strawberries, scones and freshly made jam.  It was full of great, unexpected surprises, including the World’s Best Jam – literally, and the lovely Ms. Balreet.  I also had a moment to grab a latte at my favourite coffee bar in town, conveniently up the street from the market, Formaggio Fine Foods.  The market is only open until the October long weekend; you should check it out while you can.
